How they do it in Norway

Following on from my piece on Swiss domestic wiring I took a few pictures of the installation in a rented house in North Norway. The Meter and Distribution Panal are mounted over the stairwell. Both appear to have been fairly recently upgraded. The supply is 3 phase via overhead lines.

There is a 63A main switch, surge protection devices and lots of RCBOs

The circuit descriptions (it's all electric with a small wood burning stove)

There looks to have been an interesting event in the past.

  • Thank you all for your interest. I don't know much about Norway's system but here are a few answers that I can give:

The meter is completely over the stairwell. The distribution panel is reasonably accessable from the landing.

The system appears to be 220/380 although I am not sure about the earthing system.

The terminals on the components are sufficiently shrouded to avoid accidental contact.
