The job advert only went up a week ago Zoom? Of course we wouldn't have recruited someone already! The recruitment process can take at least two months when you take into consideration the interview process timelines and the notice period of any successful candidate. We certainly wouldn't have someone already in position within days of the job being advertised... ?

I'm not aware of how many people are 'banging on the door' so to speak as I don't work in our HR dept and are not party to that kind of information... ?

Soft southerners. When I werra lad we saw vacancies advertised ont factory railings. We were in there like a shot to seit forman. No fancy posh "personnel" or "human resources" departments full of over paid under worked souls in those days lass. We had a written quiz to see if we was suitable. You know, Name? Address? Age? Religion? Sex? Next of kin? You know the sort of thing. Some answers were reit funny as I remember.

Then we were asked byit forman if we had operated a Grimshaw No.5 Ferret Fur Fettler machine before. We all said yes. Then we handed in our cards and were put ont shop floor there and then. Straight to work to earnt brass.

    Them were the days.

Them Grimshaw Ferret Fur Fettler machines made a racket. If you had a shed of 20 of them all working together they would make such a din. Tom Oldberry reckoned that they would inspire what he called dance music in the future in German clubs. Little twit.
