Kitchen referb,rewire,heat detector?

As above,I was wondering if a mains/battery heat detector was compulsory in this situation.

I was going to recommend one to the client.Other detectors in the house are just battery powered, not linked.

The site is in west yorkshire.

Thanks for any advice,

                                 Regards,Hz

  • You need to be careful with this because kitchens may get very hot and alarms by accident are a real pain to everyone. A rate of rise temperature sensor is what you want, but I have never seen a stand alone one, only types for full fire alarm systems. A smoke detector outside the kitchen is probably perfectly adequate and a lot less trouble.
