Somebody has a hallway switch downstairs but they want it switched at the top of the landing to.

problem is they don’t want damage done to any of the walls to put in a typical 2 way, does anyone have a clue in what I could do to give them a 2 way switching? Is there a smart bulb or something?

  • Hi, ok... so you, obviously, have the switch line at one end now, you only need a T&E to create a 2 way switching. You have the sw/l at one switch now all you need to do is get a feed at the other end and the use the 2 core as 'strappers'...

But not if the hall and landing lights are on different circuits - as borrowing a L for the hall light from the landing lightswitch will then cross-connect L from one circuit with N from the other.
