Tails size

Hello hope everyone has managed to keep safe this far.

I need to install a TPN isolator from the cutout so if needed for future maintenance we can isolate panel board.

My question is what size tails would I need the isolator will be within 2m of the panel board looking at table 4D1A column 9 looks about right which leads to 70mm cable how easy are these to handle and terminate also are there any alternative suggestions?

This will be my first time playing with tails this size ?

Thanks in advance Ts.

  • This cable is stiff but not impossible to bend fairly easily except close to the ends. Depending on your choice of isolator you may find that the terminals are studs and so you may need suitable crimp tags and tools to install. You will need the DNO to isolate the supply as this size is fairly dangerous when pulling fuses without suitable PPE.
