6491x green yellow earth cable unprotected to gas bond

Hi

Been to look at some new build properties recently, they all had a gas bond 10mm cable clipped on the exterior of the brickwork to the gas meter position, admittedly the cable is only around 1m or less in distance out in the fresh air but wondered if this single insulated cable is acceptable to be clipped direct outside, normally 6491x cable is within containment?

Thoughts, please

Thanks

Billy

  • Live LV conductors would have to be in containment, but that's not required for protective conductors - which can actually be bare copper above 6mm² (subject to being suitable for the environment).
