So why wasn't mention of this included in the new EVC 4th ed CoP (sorry if it's in there and I've missed it):

    So really all those 16mm tails are just fine!


    Some are truly bad Mike. Whoever is making those connections mustn’t really care. I once saw tails at a pub intake that had been connected to the meter through the handle of a galvanised bucket!
