Corrigendum to Amendment 1 now on IET website

I don't think this has been mentioned already.

JW has a video summarising the changes. I seem to recall a discussion on here about the formula that has now been corrected.

  • I do like JWs mild-mannered delivery, it makes his snipes all the more forceful! I am currently making my way through the new Irish electrical installation standard which is a mighty tome of 764 pages. I have found many errors which will no doubt be corrected in due course, so BS7671 is not alone in that regard. However, it is one big pain in the you know what to have shelled out a considerable sum for a document only to find that loose amendments and errata  sheets have to be separately referred to.

i am of a mind that there is far too much unnecessary information in these standards. I would prefer a document with a more general approach As to requirements with guidance on compliance given separately, bit like the Building Regulations.
