  • Not enough information - supplementary bonding is normally only required in a few special locations/installations or where ADS can't operate within conventional times. I can't see anything in the picture what would suggest it would be needed, but I can't tell what the context is.

  • Hello Mrjack96,

IMO I would check to see if there is a potential difference between the machine live and then casing to the extraneous metalwork. I would then deal with that homemade pig-tail.Looks as though some level of bonding is already in place. One turn is probably enough.

  • I work in the water industry so not clear on the requirements. Was just not sure if there would have to be additional bonding in place to the barrier pictured from the cable tray etc.

    You say "additional" bonding.

Has the rail been earthed because it is considered an exposed-conductive-part or bonded because it is an extraneous-conductive-part that it might require supplementary bonding?

  • Hi think I can see an earth already attached to the handrail  in which case it's already done
