I have come across an socket outlet which has had the insulation on a neutral wire repaired with heat shrink, it looks like the socket screw has damaged it previously. Would this be an acceptable repair?
I just looked at the photo again myself, nothing to do with the EICR, the meter was calibrated April 1989 and belongs to the Midland Electricity Board.
Certification period twenty years, so presumably it should have been replaced around eleven years ago.
