Dental practice

Dental practices are identified as falling within the scope of Section 710 and possibly Group 1. I just don’t see it. Can any one set out the risk that I might be missing? I am thinking of standard dental practices where anaesthetic gasses are no longer used. Nothing of an electrical nature goes in to the patient’s mouth. The drill is driven by compressed air.

Dentist surgery rooms are 710 locations. You need to show the head dentist 710 and ask him/ her to agree what group the various rooms are in. Then apply the required measures. I am thinking an Earth Reference Bar with bonding of all exposed and extraneous parts, Type A RCD  protection and lighting from separate circuits. If any area is Group 2 that needs a whole different requirement.
