Dental practices are identified as falling within the scope of Section 710 and possibly Group 1. I just don’t see it. Can any one set out the risk that I might be missing? I am thinking of standard dental practices where anaesthetic gasses are no longer used. Nothing of an electrical nature goes in to the patient’s mouth. The drill is driven by compressed air.
But unless the connecting tube is fully insulating you could be delivering the voltage on the compressor's c.p.c. into a tooth. I don't know if they use any steel wires for braiding/reinforcement of the hoses or any semiconducting layers to help with dissipating static. Might be worth considering...
