If I’m asked to move a CU and it’s not to currents regs, am I correct in thinking I need to change the CU?

It's an interesting one. If you put in a new CU, it becomes notifiable, but if you stick with the old one, apparently not.
Naturally, the aim is to comply with the current edition of BS 7671 - safety first!
Do you really have to replace it? Well, if it is not notifiable, and it is not in private rented accommodation, there is no legal compulsion to do so.
How odd!
