Nu Heat wireless UFH.

I have picked up a job started by someone else with Nu Heat UFH which is to be controlled by using a mobile device through the hub.

I wired the wireless room thermostats to the floor sensors and left them without the batteries in them so I could power them up for the first time when the plumber completed the plumbing so the whole system could be commissioned in one go.

The customer jumped the gun and put his own batteries into the wireless thermostats as he didn’t know where I had put the supplied batteries and linked the hub and stats to his phone.

The wireless control box is not linked into the system, I presume I now need to disconnect the hub then do a factory reset on the room thermostats to make a fresh start as at the moment I cannot even access the set up menus on the stats, then having kicked his phone out set it all up again on my Ipad, then when it’s working hand the working system over to him.

But if I set it up on my IPad will it make me the system administrator forever and stop him from having full control from his phone? Should I actually use the customers phone to set it up?

  • I reset the thermostats with the hub turned off, ran through the setup and got the system running off the wireless stats without loading the app onto my phone, then booted the hub back up and confirmed that the customer can control the system from his phone.

So I completely avoided connecting the system to my phone and having to pass control of the system over to the customer.
