I would like to ask what the distances 0.75m and 1.25m on the illustration drawing from the surface expected to be occupied by persons refer to, No explanations of the same is given in IEC 60364-2-21-1993 page 6

    Well, Fig. 417 refers to arms limit of 1.25m


    417.3.3 refers to places where bulky or long conductive objects are normally handled etc. where clearance distances may have to be increased, taking into account the relevant dimensions of those objects.
