CE, UKCA and CE&UKNI Marking From 1 January 2021

In my years of lift inspections statutory and none statutory it was a defect if there was no overhaul CE mark in the lift car followed by the conformity assessment number (Still valid  pre  Jan 2021 ) but does  CE mark  on lifts and other equipment now need a  UKCA mark if installed in UK?.

UKNI markings for NI  well we know that NI has been forced to have one leg in the EU and one leg in GB ,now that is the laughing stock of Europe as NI has  become a vassal state of the EU.

( IET don't forget to update conformity assessment marking in the next  BS7671 people will be watching even a pencil and my glasses has a ce mark )

  • Let us keep it simple - all the CE mark ever stood for was 'Chinese Export' and nothing else. The eu it keeps a growing army of unproductive and otherwise unemployable people on high salaries doing non-jobs and generally being pains in the neck to everyone else. All we need to do is revert back to the good old BSI kite mark and have done with it. There are many offshore paper companies out there who will do anyone a pad of CE tickets for around £1500 cash in hand, along with covid vax certs and anything else you might need to beat the paper pushers at their own games.
