We are using a high voltage (Pulse AC ±7000V) ioniser bar from Keyence on a machine? Would this need to be wired through safety contactors so when an interlocked door is opened, power to the ioniser will be cut off.
Can you touch the ioniser electrodes in this case?,
and if you can, does the voltage drop below 50 V when you connect a human in this way ?
If yes and no, it needs a door or access that needs a tool to open.
IF no and anything, or yes and yes, then it needs no special precaution.
This is much the same as you can have a 10kV electric fence at the side of the footpath, but the current must be limited, so the voltage collapses if too low an impedance is connected.
