    In The Times last week a front page article said that new carbon taxes and charges are likely. This is to do with a net zero carbon pledge. This could mean a de faco tax on beef,  lamb and cheese.


    At present environmental and social charges on gas are 2 per cent, and  23 per cent electricity bills.
