Lubing Up Yer Conduit Wires Before the BIG Pull.

What do you use as a lubricant?


Washing up liquid?


Tallow?


Cutting fluid?


WD40?


Soap?


Chicken soup?

Does lube make a difference? Pulling wire through conduit with Yellow 77 from Ideal Industries. - Bing video

  • I agree that the oil from Hellermans, is pretty much a miracle product. (not to be confused with   Hellmans .. though it is also slippy. )  Very good for things like getting coax cables in to nycoil (like this )  which is rather harder than a straight conduit -  can be quite a 'fun'  operation,

    Not tried Dave's idea of a pre-pull wet wipe though, maybe we should do that next time and blow a sponge through with the air line.
