Cord Operated Ceiling Light Switch. Pre-Removed Cable Access Knockouts.

It is just too hot to tidy the work vehicle today. I keep putting it off. The insides look like Steptoe and Son's  front room. Anyway to keep to the subject I have bought some replacement cord operated ceiling switches from an infamous online source. The make is PMS. They are rated at 250 Volt 6AX.

They come with all of the rear positioned knockouts on the circular base already removed. There is an elliptical shaped hole in the centre for back entry, plus all of the entries around the base circumference have been left open. I suppose that the design saves on materials. So, no more having to sweep up white bits of sharp plastic from the customer's floor.

I hope that the switching action is reliable, as I have not used them before.

If there was never anything which could be knocked out, why refer to "knockouts" rather than just "holes"?

Cos the holes are in the original knockout positions, that makes it clearer for the initiated. If I just referred to "holes" that would not provide a complete picture. Let's call 'em cable entry apertures then.

AND the cord switches are ASTA certified.
