They come with all of the rear positioned knockouts on the circular base already removed.If there was never anything which could be knocked out, why refer to "knockouts" rather than just "holes"?
Cos the holes are in the original knockout positions, that makes it clearer for the initiated. If I just referred to "holes" that would not provide a complete picture. Let's call 'em cable entry apertures then.
AND the cord switches are ASTA certified.
