Measuring current in centre tapped supply

Hi all,

I am wanting to monitor the current to a 110V motor fed from a centre tapped transformer. Total current could be max of 16A, so a CT will be required. My question  is, how do I get the actual current used by the motor? Can I simply put 1 leg through the CT, set the meter to the correct ratio and that's me or am I missing something?

Cheers
