Over Sink Water Heater.

Redring WS7 7 Litre 3KW Oversink Water Heater WS73 5017084440016 | eBay

I installed one of these today for a customer. It is a vented water heater. Compact and well lagged. It is an improvement of the old arrangement with a large hot water cylinder some 20 metres away, so a loss of much water when waiting for the hot water to arrive at the kitchen sink.

This new water heater stores 7 litres of hot water and has an adjustable thermostat. It heats the water very quickly.

It does drip small drops as the water heats and expands, so loses water to the sink. But overall is a more efficient system than the old system.

Any thoughts?

  • I'm not taking offence or attempting to be condescending,  please do not imagine that was my intent!

I was only to try to explain the couple of extra steps needed to embed videos directly into a post, as I do not think it is very obvious at all in this new editor we seem to have been updated to.  It is better than leaving a raw  click link as the readers get the image preview and can see that really it is a youtube video and what the title about is before clicking. (as opposed to bing serving you an unknown youtube page disguised as one of its own)

And yes there is a speed and perhaps a small data security benefit in not routing traffic through bing any more than has to be, and a small saving on adverts, though Youtube add enough of their own in my view.

My system here is perhaps unusual, in that this machine runs mint rather than windows and firefox as a browser, and I do use computers a lot, so  I may slip into the geek's meta-language by mistake, - so tell me and I'll clarify  it.

Anyways I was not wanting to either show off or to upset you, so where my explanation is not helpful, or indeed plain wrong, - as with the electrical stuff too actually- please just tell me where it leaves you,  and I'll have another bash at it.

    warmest regards Mike
