Failed EICR

Hi just want to know what you guys and girls do in the following situation.

You've carried out an EICR its failed.

Once the remedials have been carried out do you redo the original EICR so it's Satisfactory?

Or do you fill out minor works certs and give these to the customer along with the original failed report so once cross referenced  it results in being satisfactory.

This has been bugging me for awhile now.

  • Failed car M.O.T. test.

    Blown headlight bulb.

Owner takes car away from M.O.T. testing station, renews blown bulb. All now working and good.

Failed car returned to M.O.T. testing station in a timely manner.

Car reexamined by M.O.T. inspector, who issues a PASS M.O.T. certificate. (Or equivalent) free of charge.

Did the M.O.T. inspector test the whole car fully again?

    No.
