Having just fitted 8 x new LED emergency bulkheads I noticed a propensity for the new screwless spring clamp connections and it got me wondering about the robustness of such in the event of fire.
The good old choc block screwed connectors would continue to hold a cable in place despite the plastic outer being melted off and thus hold the remnants of whatever was connected to them. I wondered if the new screwless clamp types would wilt under the heat and thus drop whatever they were connecting to onto or into somewhere it would not ideally be wanted.
Any thoughts upon this?
