DRIVE BELT FOR BOSE WAVE CD PLAYER AND CLANSMAN MILITARY RADIO

I have a Bose Wave CD player and combined radio. The CD player is erratic. It sucks the CD in with a bit of a struggle and then the CD plays with difficulty. I striped it down and cleaned everything but my fault diagnoses is the tiny rubber drive belt is stretched and soggy. I am looking for a replacement but have been unsuccessful. Does anyone on the forum know of a source of supply?

Whilst I am on a roll something even more diverse. I am looking for a Clansman radio 7 pin audio socket. I want to make an adapter lead up to use a Clansman headset on my Yaesu FT 857 amateur radio transceiver.

Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks I am thinking about buying a box of O rings from Screwfix.

I saw that 2 pin socket when I was searching. The RS one is the one I want but not at that price. I may wait for an Amateur radio rally and buy a scrap Clansman personal radio and rob the socket off of it.

Nice to see your reply as I have not seen you on here for ages.

  • eBay sells packs of various sized rubber belts for old cassette recorders. Maybe one of will work. O rings may be too stiff. I have bought various packs very cheaply.
