Is a Chint NHB2100UK just a 100 Amp D.P. switch?

NH bit sounds like an isolator or switch-disconnector according to the Chint web site (https://chint.co.uk/?s=NH&post_type=product) the rest of the part number doesn't seem to match anything I can find though.

If you are using Chint gear, then this slightly dated article may amuse,

Schneider paying Chint 23million dollars to compensate for patent infringements

Not always do the new ideas come from Europe it seems.

I am not using Chint gear at this address Mike, but I discovered one of these devices by the meter recently, connected to tails that were over 3 metres long.

That would be protected by the DNO fuse - BS7671 would be OK with a 100A bs88 or 1361 type fuse and far longer tails but, if that is OK or not, well that would be an ecumenical matter, no sorry at the whim of the DNO.
