Heated Towel Rail Reliability.

How reliable are Terma electrically heated towel rails. I have a customer that has a failed heating element/thermostat unit. The new part cost will be about £90.00. Has anyone else had any experiences with these models. The model my customer has is a Terma Alex One. It is about two years old from new. The old Dimplex oil filled towel rails lasted for much longer than two years.

    Yes indeed. The customer bought it online. The user's book says that the guarantee is 24 months from installation but a maximum of 36 months from manufacture. So, it is up to the customer to contact the retailer, if that is possible. That is the trouble with online shopping, it may be difficult to remember where the item was bought. And tracing the retailer may be impossible. Some sites limit the purchase history accessibility as well.
