3 phase MCB for single phase supply

Hi Guys, quick question that I’ve just been asked and I would like all the opinions and views I can get. So here goes … 

Can you utilise a single pole on a 3 phase MCB to supply a single phase circuit. If yes then great, if no then please share why.

    Yes, it will trip if any one phase is overloaded; but what will be on the other two phases?

    Other 2 phases are not in use, solely for that single phase supply
