Does changing smoke detector heads in conventional fire alarm system warrant a certificate?

Hi, does removing smoke detector head and putting it back require a modification certificate. Within the same room but different position.

    Why would you not issue a modification cert? From the point of view of the organisation carrying out the modification, it documents the extent of what was done, and that the system has been tested before you left it ... even if there's no need to update system drawings etc. .... so provides a paper trail and helps limit liability?
