    "Indent (ii) of Regulation 443.4.1 has been removed. The term safety service, formerly included in Regulation 443.4.1 (ii), encompassed a wide range of systems. The provision, therefore, had unintended consequences for improvements to fire safety systems within installations."

    I think this has been brought up here in the past, it has certainly been brought up in various other groups I'm on, whereby people are fitting SPDs when fitting an additional smoke detector in a domestic house, some have gone as far as saying a SPD is required when swapping old heads for new.
