Why is the PME fault detection threshold for single-phase charging piles in the UK < 207VAC or > 253VAC?

  • I think it's based on specification for most European supply conditions - i.e. 230V ±10% - in the UK it's 230V+10%-6% i.e. 216.2V..253V but that then gives a little margin for voltage drop between the origin and the charge point.
