If you need a rod or not will depend on the supply arrangement - if it is TT you definitely will . Depending how equipped the hut is -is there water supply for example ? it may be more or less like wiring up a small house.
Generally however it may be unoccupied for the winter, so being installed in a way that is mouse proof, and not too worried about condensation dripping off windows will be considerations, as will the fact that folk will come in with wet hands, and possibly bare foot and scantily clad, so the shock risk is higher - that may inform many things like choice of light switch and location of fittings to be out of accidental reach, and the RCD testing actually matters.
It may be worth a look at what has been done in other huts of a similar design if you can arrange it, to see what to copy and what to avoid.
