opinions of C2 code on satisfactory EICR

I think the "proper" approach would be issue the EICR as unsatisfactory, then an EIC or MWC to show the rectification - together they could then be read as a satisfactory outcome. The forms are just models though, so if someone has good reason for doing things slightly differently, that's not of itself prohibited. As long as the paperwork ends up being clear to its intended reader and the installation safe, it's probably not too much to worry about.

Then clearly it would (or could) have been a C2, but no longer ?

but not I hope to leave it as a C2 fault after that rectification..... which is what that form implies.

I am going to take a leaf out of GK's book and ask how a court would interpret it. I cannot see it being that the C2 remains.
