EAS 2024

How would you interpret the EAS 2024 requirements for persons employed to carry out periodic inspections in installations other than dwellings where the contractor is NICEIC or NAPIT approved. As I read it, they will need a underpinning core technical competence qualification identified in Table 4.8, that is a NVQ L3 or equal. Not unreasonably, additional requirements include 18th Edition and L3 in periodic inspection and testing. However, if my interpretation is correct, the requirement for a L3 NVQ would be a big issue.

  • I would think you need the level 3 and it says endpoint assessment which I would think means the am2, I also think you won't be able to take a 2391 or most other training without am2
