Do I need to run bonding conductors from each meter?

Hi,

In a block of 18 flats, each flat has its own 1ph electric supply and a copper water supply stop-cock and copper gas stop-cock all bonded together after the stop-cocks as they enter the flat, with a current NICEIC periodic certificate.

My question is: 

As the gas meters for all the flats are in a cupboard outside on the ground floor, they are bonded with the water supply to the landlord's supply and have a current niceic periodic certificate for the common parts

I have been informed that we now need to run bonding conductors from each meter to each individual flat, is this correct?

    I'm not sure I'm picturing this correctly - if you're saying the gas/water services where the enter they building are all bonded to the incoming supply earth terminal, and within the flats, which have a protective (earth) conductor run along with the L&N from the supply - the water/gas are bonded to the pipework near the point of entry to the flat to the flat's earth terminal- then all sounds well to me.

    (If on the other hand the suggestion is that the flat's earthing is relying on the water/gas pipes, then there a bigger problems...)

    If some-one told you the bond need to be with 600mm of a meter and so a cable needs running out to an external meter, they're only read half the regulation - that only applies where the meter is internal (e.g. to the flat, where the installation belongs to the flat).

    Nor I, but it seems that the gas and water are bonded to the electricity supply adjacent to where they enter the building.

    If I understand correctly, the gas and water are also bonded to the electricity intake within each flat.

    I cannot see the need for any further main bonding.

    Hi, thanks for your reply,

    Just to confirm, each individual flat has its own gas water and electric supply all cross bonded correctly, the eclectic meter and consumer unit is inside the flat and cross bonding to other services are within 600mm of the stop cock and before any branch connections,

    The water and gas meters are outside the building with copper pipes running up internally to each flat, the landlords eclectic supply for the common parts of the building are cross bonded to the gas and water locally 

    So, from what you have said no further bonding is required,
