Micc or FP200 cable in chapels or churches ?

Hello, looking for an answer to who decides if a chapel / church needs to wired in MICC cable or will FP200 be adequate ? I appreciate it should be fire resistant and MICC is smaller and looks great if installed properly , but I cant find any guidance anywhere

  • As an aside, why PF200 (i.e. BS 7629 or "fire alarm") cables for ordinary lighting/power circuits which only have a thin "screen" rather than say BS 8436 ones that have a thicker shield that's much more suitable for handling earth fault currents. Both are normally LSF etc. and the fire integrity characteristics of FP aren't really needed for ordinary lighting/power.
