Filling out an EIC

Just trying to get a general consensus , now I'm sure we have all seen an EIC completed in multiple ways, I'm trying to ascertain the best approach when completed the form, with multiple sub-boards in line from the origin, 

Eg , origin - main feeder board - switch room - sub DB 

How do most approach the filling of the the certificate , assuming that supply is always the supply regardless, but then how far back, I'm trying to make an accurate guide which could be passed onto say for apprentices who can then start getting their head around the filling of forms 

Any ideas welcome, do most use model forms or self created ?

  • I agree with the above and have taken some great ideas on board, I must admit I agree with the use of model forms as it does create a general standard that most work too, and consistency. 

    I think the issue usually comes when the system is more complex on terms of separate sub feeds in the chain, and knowing exactly which main switch , or fuse they want,

    I think I might adopt the approach of including details of the DNO supply, as the origin, however then use the details of main switches etc and the main area to isolate what you are now working on, (IE the main sub or DB prior to the board you are concerned with)
