    IET flagship event - Present Around The World Asia (PATW) Pacific Finals 2016 has been successfully held in Sydney on 27 th August 2016. There were in total 8 university students and young professionals, who came from Australia, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan, having already won their local competition.     We are delighted to share that Professor Hamid Aghvami FREng, FIEEE, FIET  will be a keynote speaker speaking at the  Radio Propagation andd Technologies for 5G .  Hamid Aghvami joined the academic staff at King’s in 1984. In 1989 he was promoted to Reader, and in 1993 was promoted Professor in Telecommunications Engineering. He was the Director of the Centre for Telecommunications Research at King’s from 1994 to 2014. Professor Aghvami carries out consulting work on Digital Radio Communications Systems for British and International companies; he has published over 550 technical journal and conference papers, and given invited talks and courses the world over on various aspects of Personal and Mobile Radio Communications.     Graduate engineers have some of the highest salaries according to new report

    It has been revealed that graduate engineering roles are among the highest earning jobs in the UK according to Glassdoor’s 2016 report. According to the report, graduate software engineers earn approximately £28,370 per annum, mechanical engineers earn £26,949, graduate engineers earn £26,500, civil engineers are at £25,000 and structural engineers earn circa £24,993.
