Our primary goal is to publish content that is engaging, informative, and resonates with our readers. If you have a story to tell or knowledge to share, we want to hear from you!

Submission guidelines

To be informative for the community, blog posts should:

  • Be from a personal point of view: i.e. not press releases or marketing material.
  • Word count: Aim for 500 words or more on an engineering or technology topic that you're knowledgeable about.
  • Formatting: Use clear headings, subheadings, and bullet points to organise your content. Include any relevant images or media with proper attribution.
  • Call to action: Have a key learning point for community members to discuss or take away.

Don’t forget to read our complete guidance on planning, creating and choosing images for your blog post

What happens next?

Once you submit your blog post, our editorial team will review it to ensure it meets our quality standards and aligns with our content strategy. If your post is accepted, we'll notify you when it’s published and provide any necessary feedback for revisions if needed.

We aim to review all submissions within two weeks. If your post isn't selected, don’t be discouraged – we appreciate your effort and encourage you to try again with a different topic or approach.

Nothing encourages others when sharing some of these experiences. I grew up in a different world without this facility and online sharing. Most we could do is meet a few mates down a pub!
