A lack of flow, a lack of temperature or both? As Grumpy says the likely probles are the diverter valve or the secondary heat exchanger. The problem can usually be diagnosed by looking at the indicator lamps and seeing what the boiler does.
If you turn on the hot tap does the hot water demand lamp come on? Does the boiler then fire up?
Do you get hot water if the heating is already running?
Rads. get hot. Tap water pressure good. Water comes out warmish then cools after about 20 seconds.

Don't ignore theobviouscryptic - there's a lot going on in a modern combi - and they way they interact isn't always obvious. I had one that would now and again stop producing hot tap water - turned out the bearing on flue fan was a bit rough - now and again it would slow down, the pressure difference across the fan would drop which tripped the pressure switch and the PCB shut down the burner. Didn't seem to happen in heating mode - possibly it wasn't running quite as hot then or wasn't producing quite the same volume of exhaust gasses.

That is interesting Andy. I was working for a customer a few weeks back and his old boiler would not fire up. The case was already off as a gas engineer had attended but not repaired the boiler. I did some basic electrical fault finding as the wiring diagram was pasted inside the boiler. The fan was faulty. It was getting an electrical supply but was not rotating, just humming. Upon investigation I found online that a whole new fan assembly could be purchased, motor and blades, for under £45.00. I am thinking of training as a gas engineer. ££££££££££££
