davezawadi (David Stone):
It is normally considered that a quotation is a contracted price. If you buy a new car, and you are quoted a price to compare with elsewhere do you expect to be charged more when you say yes? Certainly not.
The devil is in the detail - it will all be in the small print somewhere. That is, of course, if there was a written contract.
A quote may well be an offer: in other words, you offer to install MPBC and ELV for £630. If I accept the offer, there is a contract which is binding both ways.
Concerning the new car, if a dealer offers to sell you a certain model for £15k and you refuse the offer with a view to shopping around, the offer expires. What happens next may be that you offer to buy the car for £15k, but the dealer is entitled to refuse and make a counter offer. Raising the price wouldn't make good business sense, but it might happen.

Where is the supply fuse and electric meter in relation to the Flat?
There is no gas you say, so is there off peak electric for heating and hot water or electric boiler and a 2nd consumer unit or maybe an extra large consumer unit with two sets of tails into it?this is what's inside the cupboard by the front door. No gas, and night storage heaters and electric water heater. Economy7 electric.
That's horrid! I like the fact that the tails have been tied together (although one appears to have slipped) but why not bring them into the bottom of the CU? Grommets would suffice on the bottom surface; glands would be even better.

Note that zone height is measured from the "floor" of the bath or shower, not the floor of the bathroom. The pictures on page 244 of B.S. 7671 shows the 2.25 metre height as from the room floor. Fig. 701.2
.
So it does! (You learn something old every day.) Doesn't seem to make much sense though - zone 2 is really about what you can touch while sitting or standing in a bath or shower and if the base of the bath is higher, you can reach higher.
