Heated Towel Rail Reliability.

How reliable are Terma electrically heated towel rails. I have a customer that has a failed heating element/thermostat unit. The new part cost will be about £90.00. Has anyone else had any experiences with these models. The model my customer has is a Terma Alex One. It is about two years old from new. The old Dimplex oil filled towel rails lasted for much longer than two years.

  • But if the customer bought the towel rail, it's the customer's problem, not the electrician's.

  • Quite so. Supply and fit, the electrician is responsible. Fit only, only if the fitting was defective.
