What is the Two Minute Rule?

  • In the event of a gas attack, you have 2 minutes to hold your breath and get your respirator out of its bag and on your head?

  • Nothing to do with dropping food on the floor then ?

  • Nope... thats the 10s rule :-)

  • Certainly not if cheese is involved. (You need to see Mrs May's tribute to the Queen to understand that one.)

  • Who is Mrs. May, the North Yorkshire outdoor custard pie thrower? I think that you are all struggling with this simple 2 minute rule question, but I will award half marks for effort. Gets calculator: half of zero is .........erm.....? Will it be a negative answer......erm...?

  • What is the Two Minute Rule?

I suspect they're referring to the required observation time in the gas tightness pressure test.

  • Gas tightness test has other stages, including let-by and stabilization.

Googling says "The two-minute rule is a tactic from the Getting Things Done personal productivity method. The premise is simple: if you have an outstanding task and it'll take two minutes or less to complete, do it now – even if it's not flagged as urgent or high priority."

    Which sort of makes sense

  • But the picture shows only electrical matters.

  • All tightness checks completed --- not ticked?

  • But the picture shows only electrical matters.

Top three items look likely electrical, but bottom 4 look more like gas to me. I guess smart meter fitters potentially have to deal with both these days.
