I see that the IET issued a press release on a forthcoming Corrigendum to the 18th Edition to be found here:

    Corrigenda are used to address errors inadvertently introduced during drafting or production of a standard that could lead to incorrect or unsafe application of the standard.

    So, spelling and punctuation mistakes won't usually be corrected in a Corrigendum, but wait until the next Amendment or Edition. Technical issues that require substantial changes would usually be an Amendment.
