EVs And Their Appetite For Power
As the number of Electric Vehicles increases, the energy demands of these vehicles will become more of an issue. The ARTS TPN in conjunction with the Buckinghamshire Network recently organised a technical event which covered some of these issues. The three, interlinked, talks given to the local Network in Buckinghamshire were entertaining and illuminating. The three speakers gave insights into some of the practical issues met when introducing Electric Vehicles (EVs) into the transport infrastructure. Pete James the chair of the TPN and also of Lyra Electronics, chaired the session with calm authority. His talk looked at the power densities of the types of batteries used today.
