Pleased to hear that Virgin have just been awarded the West Coast Main Line Contract for a further two years and nine months. As a result they've promised to invest a further £35m updating the trains and providing more standard class seats. Plus they will also invest more than £20m modernising stations and improving the waiting rooms, seats and shelters. More information on the announcement ca n be found here.
Inmarsat plc has recently announced its aim to deploy an integrated telecommunications network to deliver aviation passengers connectivity services on an EU-wide basis. To achieve this ambition, Inmarsat confirmed its order for a new S-band satellite , to be called Europasat, and expects to complement this satellite with a fully integrated air-to-ground network across the EU.
A state-of-art jet maintenance hanger has been officially opened at the Seletar Aerospace Park in Singapore. The new hanger will meet the maintenance requirements for Boeing, Bombardier, Gulfstream and Nextant business aircraft is an excellent example of Building Information Modelling.

Here he tells us a little more: University of Science Malaysia (USM) was established in 1969 and is the second oldest public university in Malaysia. There are three campuses: Penang island (main campus), Nibong Tebal (Engineering) and Kelantan (Health Sciences). USM is having an enrollment over 28,000 postgraduate and undergraduate students in 2009. ''This event provided strategy for improving and encouraging STEM at early stage for younger girls to enable them make an early decision within STEM career. Most students who attended the event heard about the event in schools, online, communities, organisations and on the web. The STEM Event welcomed 35 students from different schools from age 11 and above. A valuation was completed by the students and majority seemed to have enjoyed the event. The Event was attended by 35 students aged 11 to 18, Aberdeen Lord Provost represented By Counsellor Alan, who gave a speech on government contribution and efforts towards increasing the number…
